Quick version of installing my rebuilt Ford 8.8" rear axle in my fox body mustang restomod.
Not much to say here, I frequently do stupid things. (punch sound effect added obviously)
Rear Axle Install Part 2 - Foxbody Restomod Part 46 - My rebuilt Ford 8.8 rear differential gets installed back into the car. Then we installed the rest of the rear suspension, the foxbodybrakes.com rear cobra brake kit, and those gorgeous 18x10 SVE NVX rear rims with 285/35/18 sumitomo rubber. This took me all year to rebuild and I'm sooooo pumped to have it done and installed!
At least I get to build up my sound effects library, I guess.
Had another "puckering event" when the axle I was trying to shimmy into position fell backwards off the floor jack. No damage though, thankfully and I decided to put a pin in it until I get better tools.
Rear Axle Install Part 1 - Foxbody Restomod Part 45 - Finally, putting my rebuilt Ford 8.8 rear differential back into the car. Also got some new parts to install and finally got to use my nut-sert tool but I ran into even more problems with the cross bar on the upper control arm reinforcement brackets. We're really close to getting the axle back in the car though. As a refresher on the rear axle we did five lug swap 31-spline yukon axles, cobra limited slip differential, 3.73 yukon gears, custom electro-etched diff cover, foxbodybrakes.com rear disc cobra brake conversion and welded tubes.
Don't worry, creepy clown is right, the vehicle is really well supported with jack-stands at all four corners and it's not in any danger of falling. But you can push a corner up from the bottom and cause what we in the business call "a puckering event".
I commissioned a jingle for a new unboxing segment on my channel called Sleazy's Garbage (since a lot of the stuff I buy is cheap Amazon garbage). I am absolutely in love with the jingle (the title video may change at some point though).
Upper Torque Box Reinforcement Part 2 - Foxbody Restomod Part 44 - Completing the BMR Upper Torque Box Reinforcement Install on my Foxbody Mustang - I bought a bunch of stuff for the garage and finished up installing the BMR upper torque box reinforcements.
