OMG, it's done! The rear axle is complete! Torquing the pinion nut is extremely difficult but I managed to get a reasonable result. We get a decent pattern on the gear mesh. We get good backlash measurement. We get this hell project complete. Trying on the foxbodybrakes.com rear disc conversion kit. Installing the 5 lug 31-spline axles. Putting on our custom "Sleazy" electro-etched diff cover. Ooooo it's a thing of beauty!
I did the best that I could getting everything to spec. If it explodes, I'll have someone who knows what they're doing fix it, or replace it with a pre-built 9".
